Hiking trails
- Hiking area Stokkem: The green hiking loop (2.5 km) leads you along a paved path through the nature reserve ‘Negenoord’. On the way: large grazers, gravel ponds, Maasdijk covered in flowers and mud watch tower.
- Walking area Aldeneik: The green (3.2 km) and orange (7.6 km) loops are both wheelchair-friendly. On the way: gravel pond in Heerenlaak, historic centre Aldeneik, Maasdijk and Ophoven.
- Five cultural walks described in brochures of the RivierPark Maasvallei.
- Cultural route in Stein: this accessible, cross-border 8K hiking loop leads you through the small Meuse villages Urmond, Berg aan de Maas and Meeswijk (BE). On the way: Terpkerkje, ferry and Standerdmolen. You can view the details of the route on the website of VVV Zuid - Limburg.
- Molenplas Stevensweert: Especially for wheelchair users and pushchairs, a stretch of the track was adapted along ‘Molenplas’. Mind the small slope on the route.
Visits
- ‘De Wissen’ Meuse centre: tourist information, Meuse and wickerwork museum. The restaurant ‘De Wissen’ is also accessible and there is an adapted toilet.

- Maasmechelen Tourism: tourist information, regional products, interactive exhibition on the mining history. There is a lowered information desk. The toilet is easily accessible. Maaseik museums: The information desk, the Pharmacy Museum and the Regional Archaeological Museum are accessible. There is a wheelchair lift at the entrance. Adapted but small toilet. Assistance and guide dogs are welcome.
